Current Research Field

My current research is focused on the local-structure and electronic properties of molecular and solid state materials for application in energy-related applications. My research field involves the design of synchrotron experiments based on X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and X-ray total scattering to study interface structural transformations on water oxidation catalyst under in situ/operando conditions. A great part of my current research involves the realization of computational calculations based on Density Functional Theory (DFT), Ab initio Molecular Dynamics (AIMD), Reverse Monte Carlo (RMC), Finite Differential Methods (FDM), and calculation of spectroscopy spectra through ab initio methods.
