Short Bio and current research field

Esmael received his BSc degree in Chemistry in 2009 from Shiraz University, located in Shiraz. He completed his MSc in Inorganic Chemistry in 2012 at Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Zanjan. Esmael is thrilled to join the Patzke group. His research focuses on solid-state chemistry and electrochemistry, specifically on oxygen evolution reaction (OER). He currently studies the electrode/electrolyte interface in operational conditions with different spectroscopic and characterization methods, including in-situ electrochemical liquid HRTEM, advanced synchrotron-based in-situ electrochemical XAS methods, in-situ heating PXRD, Raman, SEM, XPS, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
